CHRISTMAS 2011
Kay Angel wishes everybody great holidays and a healthy, happy New Year 2012
Like every year, both schools of our kids had organized a x-mas celebration. On Tuesday December 20 Pazapa, the school for handicapped that Martin attends had theirs. Martin was allowed to bring some brothers and/or sisters to his party and he had choosen Estania, Youseline, and Melinda to accompany him.

At the end of the celebration Martin received a beautiful present from the director of Pazapa Jean Joseph Forgeas
On Friday December 23rd S.O.S. Enfants, where all the other kids go to school had their Christmas celebration. There were performances by many of the students with music, songs, poetry and dance. Youseline, Melinda and Estania gave a great dance performance with their dance class.
It has been almost 2 years already since the earthquake, but there are still a lot of people living in tents in and around Jacmel. Together with our kids we decided to do something special for the kids that are living in this OIM-camp nearby us.
Since Kay Angel had received so many toys from Holland, the US and Canada right after the earthquake we still had plenty of stuffed animals to give away to these kids who are so much less fortunate than our kids. Estania, Melinda and Youseline really wanted to come out and help with the distribution, so on Christmas eve we drove to the OIM-camp to play “Santa” to the kids there, and made some kids very happy. It was a great experience for our kids to share this way.
Of-course Santa himself paid a visit to Kay Angel again this year as well. Sunday morning December 25th we all woke up to a great surprise under our Christmas tree.
It seems like Santa had been very busy and/or was very tired this year, since none of the presents were wrapped. But for each of our kids there were several presents, and they had a great time checking for their names to find what present was left for them.

Wish I had been there! I’m glad the kids were able to have such a wonderful christmas, and that they had so much to be able to share with other children. You’re doing such a wonderful job Lia.
